A. For Inpatient Care
For beneficiaries of public national insurance EOPYY who need hospitalization in a Rehabilitation Center, an electronic approval issued before patient's discharge from the hospital is required.
The request process for EOPYY approval is performed through EOPYY's electronic platform by hospital's physician that the patient is initially hospitalized.

In the case that you use your public insurance agent and have been hospitalized on an inpatient format at a Rehabilitation Center, you may now go on at an outpatient format.
This should be documented by the treating physician and the Scientific Director of the Inpatient Rehabilitation Center.
Also, it should be documented that the referred disease cannot be treated by simple physiotherapy sessions.
The total duration of inpatient and outpatient hospitalization at a Rehabilitation Center should not exceed six (6) months from inpatient's starting point.
After six months, you may continue as an outpatient at a Rehabilitation
Center with the respective approval; for the total of one year.
The total duration of both inpatient and outpatient treatments at a Rehabilitation Center should not exceed two years.
For beneficiaries that require hospitalization at Rehabiliation Center, an approval letter is required after their admission.
Hospitalization at a private or public institute should have taken place for the disease that demands rehabilitation. Medical approval letter should be signed by the respective clinic's director.

B. For Outpatients
For beneficiaries who need to register as outpatients in a Rehabilitation Center, an electronic approval is required to be issued. from a doctor specialty relative to the patient's disease.
The request process for EOPYY approval is performed through EOPYY's electronic platform by a public or private hospital's physician or an EOPYY affiliated doctor.

For beneficiaries that require outpatient care at a Rehabilitation Center, a documented medical opinion letter is required (by a neurologist or orthopedic surgeon) and physiatric evaluation by FILOKTITI's doctor. Then, our medical team will approve treatment plan and an acceptance letter is issued.
